Mirage Plus Sizing

Based on my own calculations, the following wheel and tire combos are allowable while maintaining a minimum of discrepency with the speedometer and odometer. I leave it up to you to determine if the package is in fact mountable on the vehicle.

Removing the Front Bumper on a 5G Coupe

Tools -- 10mm socket wrench, phillips and flat screwdrivers.

Red: Pop buttons on end of grill insert, then push in 4 tabs that connect grill insert to reinforcement bar and remove.

Yellow: Remove press fit pop rivets, by prying with a long flat screw driver. Two on the bottom facing down, one in center of large grill opening facing down, and two next to fog light opening (must remove fog light) facing down. These have a collar with four slots along the edge, and a flat button on top. Slip end of flat screwdriver into slot and "walk" the button out.

Purple: Remove 10mm bolt holding bumper to fender along the fender opening. Remove plastic phillips screw near bottom holding fender liner to bumper.

Blue: Remove three 10mm bolts facing towards radiator and then the metal plate. These bolts along with the plate hold three tabs on the bumper cover which you must bend when removing the cover.

Green: Remove two 10mm bolts and bracket on each side. Difficult to remove without bumping knuckles. Also has tabs which must bend to remove cover. Not sure which way the tabs bend, it's been awhile. You will be able to tell by looking at them. Be careful here. I snapped one of mine off trying to put the bumper back on.

After all bolts, etc. are off, pull top back corner away from fender. There is a little nub on the bumper that pops into a hole on the fender. Then start at one side, and bend first tab while pulling bumper forward, then the second, and so on. Then remove completely. There are tabs on the bottom where the yellow arrows are, but they aren't a problem.

To replace, work in reverse of above. Now be careful of the yellow marked tabs, they need to bent to go over the reinforcement bar. Special attention to the center one and the two by the fogs. Then be sure to bend the tabs along the top so as not to stress them, they will tear off easily if scraped along the metal edge of the reinforcement. Pop the corners back in, bolt it up in reverse and your all set.
